Abe is a gamer who appears in Zomberry Island. He spends his time holed up in his apartment playing playing video games.
Appearance[]
Abe is a brown-haired man who wears rectangular glasses. He has a ponytail and a beard. He wears a black T-shirt with a bullseye on it, a brown hoodie, and blue pants.
Personality[]
Abe appears to be laid-back, and he loves video games and horror movies. He has poster on his wall that is similar to Hatsune Miku, as well as a collection of Godzilla-like figurines, which would seem to indicate that he is a fan of Japanese pop culture. It is also shown that he loves mint brownies and a type of berry soda called Valley Rain.
Storyline[]
Role on Ghost Story Island[]
On the wall of the bakery in Ghost Story Island, there is a picture of Abe next to the words "I love your mint brownies so much!" He probably took a vacation to New England and went to the bakery for a treat.
Role on Zomberry Island[]
Abe appears to be the only civilian who enjoys the Zomberry epidemic, as he can finally play video games without being disturbed. He is one of the only people in Zomberry Island who didn't get turned into a Zomberry, as he didn't ingest any blueberries. At the end of the quest, he momentarily laments about the epidemic ending, and he later gives chase to Samuel Brains along with Joe Puddy. He is known as Gamer Guy on this island.
Trivia[]
- In one of his lines of dialogue, "happened" is misspelled as "happend."
- Even after you stop the Zomberry epidemic, Abe will appear in the same place and say the same thing as if the epidemic was still happening.
- If you click on the TV in Abe's apartment, you can play the game Terror in the Garden, which is almost identical to the minigame at the end of Zomberry Island in which you cure the Zomberries.
- He is the fourth Poptropican to appear in two islands (not counting characters from Wimpy Wonderland Island and Wimpy Boardwalk Island and the super villains from Super Villain Island), the others being Professor Pendulum, Leonardo da Vinci, and Thomas Edison.
- He is also in some scenes of the Daily Pop as an island tester.
- On 11 December 2013, he was supposedly hired by Captain Crawfish as an intern on the Creator's Blog. However, he was eventually fired after a few posts. This was most likely a joke by the Creators.
- Abe has made a Draw My Life video. It can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qr6ajKoC5xk.
- His shirt and sweater can be seen again on Poptropicon Episode 2: Spoiler Alert, on the girl who gives you the unreleased Omegon card.
