Hey this is Superdadsuper. Its been a while since I made a post, been busy with other wiki stuff.A lot of people wonder how it all works with Poptropica and the "A division of Poptropica Worldwide" thing. Today i'm going to explain how all of that works. Be warned though if you are not very familair with buisness stuff this may be a little boring.
So it is very confusing on what company owns Poptropica I mean it says Family Education Network, but then it says Pearson so who owns it. The company who owns Poptropica is called Pearson LLC, which is a british multinational education assititant and major book publish infact the largest in the world. Pearson has 3 subdisaries (a company within the company, Pearson is basically the manager for these 3 subs and holds them together) The Finicial Times Group( A group that helps companies with fininace by making books and publishes a news paper),Penguin Publishing (a management company that manages two sub Book publishers), and Pearson Education(a education company dedicated to educate children across the world).Pearson Education has another subdisary within it called Family Education Network. Family Education Network runs a lot of online educational sites and started some of the first parenting sites.
Family Education Network has several teams that work on these websites including the Poptropica Worldwide team. This team consits of all the Poptropica.com workers described on the Poptropica Creators page and several other employees. The 3 divisions of Poptropica Worldwide are the Factmonster team,the Funbrain team, and the Poptropica Team.Factmonster is an online alamanc, published and edited by Poptropica scriptwriter,publisher,editor and developer Jess M.Brailler.Fubrain is also published by Jess M.Brailler, and that site educates through gaming and Ebooks.Poptropica is ran by Jeff Kinney who also runs Wimpy Kid inc from Boston. Poptropica has no true headquarters, but is infact ran mainly in building in Utah. If you would like more information please comment below.
